Intellectual Property Policy
This policy explains who owns the creative and technical materials in SalesGamez, the limited ways customers may use them, and how to request permission.
Version 2.1. Last updated 30 September 2026.
1.Scope of this policy
This policy explains who owns the creative and technical materials that make up SalesGamez, the limited rights a subscription grants, what is not permitted, and how to request permission or report infringement. It forms part of our terms and conditions and applies to everyone who accesses the service, including viewers of public board links and anyone who receives an exported board, certificate or image. It is governed by the law of England and Wales.
2.Ownership of SalesGamez materials
As between SalesGamez and each user or customer, SalesGamez and its licensors own all rights, title and interest in the service and its original materials. This includes the SalesGamez name, logos and visual identity; software and source code; interface and board designs; and each original game as expressed through its artwork, wording, rules, layouts, sequences, presentation and audiovisual experience. It also includes illustrations, photographs, generated artwork, animations, audio, music, sound effects, videos, documents, templates, written content, category and prompt banks, compilations, adaptations, updates and derivative materials created or commissioned for SalesGamez. Those rights arise under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as literary, artistic, musical, dramatic, film and sound-recording works and as computer programs and preparatory design material; under the database right and copyright protecting our compilations and content banks; and under registered and unregistered design rights in the appearance of our boards and artwork. Where materials are created by contractors, we take written assignments of the rights. The authors of works created for SalesGamez assert their moral rights where those rights are not waived. All rights are reserved. Nothing in this policy claims ownership of third-party property, or of an idea, method or game mechanic where the law does not permit ownership.
3.Trade marks and branding
SalesGamez, the SalesGamez logo, Sales Gamez, Entertainment Gamez and our individual game names and logos are trade marks of SalesGamez, whether or not registered. Unregistered marks are protected by the law of passing off, and we may apply to register marks at any time. You may refer to SalesGamez by name to describe the service you use accurately and fairly. You may not use our marks in your own product, service, company name, domain name, app name, social handle, advertising, merchandise, sponsored search term or metadata, or in any way that suggests approval, partnership or endorsement, or that is likely to cause confusion or take unfair advantage of our reputation, without our prior written permission. You must not alter, recolour, redraw or combine our logos with other elements.
4.The limited right a plan grants
A valid SalesGamez plan gives the customer a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable right to access and use the service and its included materials for the customer's own internal business purposes, for the duration and within the limits of that plan, and only for the number of sites and active players the plan covers. Public sharing, download, certificate and export features may be used only as expressly provided within the service, for internal recognition and ordinary internal or social sharing of your own results, and do not grant any broader right to reproduce, publish commercially or exploit SalesGamez materials. No ownership rights are sold or transferred, no right to sublicense or resell is granted, and the right ends when the plan ends.
5.What you may do without asking
For clarity, and provided you do not suggest any endorsement or partnership, you may: display boards on your own screens at the site your plan covers; share a board link or an exported image with your own staff, and post your own team's results on your own social channels with our branding left intact; mention SalesGamez by name in internal materials and job adverts; and keep exported certificates and images as a record of your own competitions. Everything beyond this needs written permission.
6.Restricted uses
Except where applicable law expressly allows it and that right cannot be excluded by agreement, you must not copy, reproduce, record, screen-capture systematically, film, download in bulk, extract, scrape, re-utilise a substantial part of our databases, republish, distribute, broadcast, modify, translate, adapt, sell, rent, lend, sublicense, commercially exploit or create derivative or competing products from SalesGamez or its materials without prior written permission. You must not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the service or attempt to obtain its source code or underlying structure, except to the limited extent permitted by sections 50B and 50BA of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and only after asking us for the information you need. You must not remove, obscure or alter ownership, authorship, watermark or licence notices, use SalesGamez materials outside the service to build, market, benchmark publicly or operate a competing product, use our music, artwork or certificates in your own products or marketing, or use automated means to access the service other than as we permit.
7.Text and data mining and AI training
SalesGamez expressly reserves all rights in its materials in respect of text and data mining, web scraping and the development or training of artificial-intelligence or machine-learning systems. No permission is granted for our content to be collected, stored or used as training, fine-tuning, retrieval, reference, benchmarking or evaluation data, whether for commercial or research purposes. The limited exception for non-commercial research under section 29A of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 does not extend to any commercial use, and it does not permit onward sharing of copies. This reservation applies to the whole service and its materials, is intended to be effective as an express reservation of rights, and operates alongside the directives in our robots file and any machine-readable signals we publish. Continued crawling or ingestion after notice will be treated as deliberate infringement.
8.Customer content
Customers retain ownership of names, photographs, badges, figures and other materials they upload to SalesGamez. Each customer confirms it has the rights and permissions needed for that content, including permission to use any photograph of a person, and grants SalesGamez a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, adapt for technical display, transmit and display it only as needed to provide, secure and support the service and the sharing or export features the customer chooses to use. Customers must not upload material that infringes anyone's intellectual property, including third-party logos, characters, photographs or music they are not entitled to use. We may remove content that appears to infringe. Where a board combines your content with our artwork, each party keeps its own rights and neither gains rights in the other's material.
9.Third-party, licensed and open-source materials
Third-party trade marks, names, landmarks, incidental branding, fonts, stock or licensed assets and open-source software remain the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion does not transfer those rights to SalesGamez or imply affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement. Depictions of real-world places, routes and landmarks are included for descriptive, geographical, artistic and entertainment purposes only. Open-source components remain subject to their own licences, which prevail over this policy in respect of those components, and the applicable notices are available on request. SalesGamez claims ownership only of its original expression and of rights it owns or is legally entitled to enforce.
10.Permission requests
No permission is granted by silence, by access to a public link, or because material can be viewed, captured or exported through the service. Requests to reproduce, license, publish or otherwise use SalesGamez materials outside the rights expressly granted by a plan must be made in writing to hello@salesgamez.com, or by post to SalesGamez, 80A Ruskin Ave, London, DA16 3QQ, describing the material, the intended use, the audience, the territory and the duration. Permission is valid only when confirmed in writing by an authorised representative of SalesGamez, is limited to exactly what that confirmation states, may be given subject to conditions such as attribution, and may be withdrawn on reasonable notice if a condition is broken.
11.Reporting infringement
If you believe SalesGamez material has been copied or used without permission, or that content within SalesGamez infringes rights you own, contact hello@salesgamez.com with your name and contact details, identification of the work or right concerned and evidence of your ownership, the location of the disputed material, a description of the infringement, and a statement that the information you have given is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We aim to acknowledge within five working days, may request further information, and will remove or restrict access to material where a claim appears well founded, informing the person who uploaded it where appropriate and allowing them to respond. Knowingly making a false or abusive claim may itself give rise to liability.
12.Enforcement and remedies
SalesGamez may investigate suspected misuse, preserve relevant records, remove content, restrict or suspend access, terminate accounts, revoke permissions and require infringing use to stop. Where appropriate we may seek the remedies available under UK law, including injunctions and interim injunctions, delivery up or destruction of infringing copies, damages or an account of profits, additional damages for flagrant infringement, disclosure and website-blocking orders, recovery of reasonable costs, and relief for passing off or breach of confidence. We may also report criminal copyright or trade mark offences to the appropriate authority. These rights are cumulative, and a delay in enforcing them is not a waiver. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under provisions of UK law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
13.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will publish the new version here with the date it takes effect. Material changes will be flagged inside the app. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@salesgamez.com, and earlier versions are available on request.
